Biggest fans (and offspring) of Mike and Ellie. When these 2 brothers and best friends aren’t playing football or basketball, they can often be found with their hammers at demo sites and offering advice on opening up homes.
When this design-driven young professional family approached us, they had a head start with a lot of well-thought ideas for their first home in the suburbs as well as stunning land abutting one of Westfield’s tree-filled parks. They needed to bring their ideas to life via design and construction. The Michael Robert Construction and Ellie Mroz Design teams went to work, starting with a cohesive concept and wrapping it up with a unique and timeless custom new construction home. This 3,640 square foot modern traditional home capitalizes on its stunning views with an abundance of windows and indoor/outside access highlighted by lighting placement and selections. The first floor features an open-concept kitchen/family room space with custom built-ins enhanced and layered with tiles, natural woods, shiplap and carefully placed and selected lighting. The show-stopping main staircase leads to a light-filled second floor, where the master bedroom boasts a vaulted ceiling and a secluded balcony overlooking the park. The exterior is defined by our trademark gas lanterns and custom front door, as well as classic cedar elements and brick, making this home a fresh take on classic design.
